Recall 23V-865 covers a short circuit that can develop in the Occupant Classification System (OCS) sensor — the sensor that decides whether the front passenger airbag should arm — on 2020–2021 Corollas. If it shorts, the passenger airbag may not deploy. Dealers inspect and replace the sensor free. Owner letters were phased into early 2026, so some cars are still awaiting the remedy; complaint filings mention the wait. Confirm status by VIN.

Recall 19V-877 covers a rear seat-belt webbing-sensor locking mechanism that may not lock as intended on 2020 Corolla and Corolla Hybrid — free inspection and replacement of the affected buckles. Separately, 1.8-liter (2ZR) cars were addressed by a 2020 engine-control-unit (ECU) software campaign (22TC07) for a valvematic fault that can light the malfunction lamp; it's a software update, not a teardown. Neither is expensive, but confirm the seat-belt recall is closed.
