The best year of the 10th generation — mature, quiet, and nearly out of the head-gasket woods.

The generation's head-gasket pattern is only a faint presence by 2022 — the hybrid file still shows the occasional coolant-in-cylinders engine failure at high mileage — and there is still no recall or warranty extension for it. On a 1.5T, the same cheap checks apply: cold-start it, watch the coolant level, look for milky oil. The 2.0T remains the pattern-free engine.

As with 2021, the 2022 sits outside the 2018–2020 A/C-condenser warranty extension, so a condenser refrigerant leak is now an out-of-pocket repair. Run the A/C hard on the test drive and price in any weakness.

The 2022 is covered by the multi-year fuel-pump recall and the seat-weight-sensor airbag recall — both free fixes. Confirm they show completed by VIN.

For clarity, by 2022 the loud launch-year items have largely resolved: the head-gasket wave has thinned, the fuel-pump impeller and BCM recalls of the early cars don't apply here, and the hybrid's active-noise-control droning is far less prominent in the file. This is the year to buy if you want the 10th-gen Accord without the 2018–2019 baggage.
